Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I’ve been waiting all summer for this episode! Just as I predicted, Chefs Rick Bayless (he’s so lovable), Michael Chiarello (I root for him somewhat because he reminds me of my dad…hah the way he looks, the way he talks, the way he cooks), & Hubert Keller are the finalists of Top Chef Masters. They’re all so fun and it’s so wonderful to see these professionals interact. It’s all about the food; they’re so professional and so good at what they do – all the episodes are drama-free (that was until previous Top Chef cheftestants made an appearance – ugh). My vote is for Hubert to win – AOW AOW! I’ve been rooting for him since the first episode! Let’s hope things will go my way. :O)
Top Chef Masters: Chef Hubert Keller
Live Blogging: I am excited for the finale – the challenge seems promising and very meaningful. Each chef is to make 4 dishes – As Chef Rick Bayless states, they are to explain and express their lives on their plates through their food. Chef Hubert Keller says, “This is the perfect challenge.”
Right now, the chefs are shopping. :O)
It’s so awesome how much the viewers are able to learn about these chefs – not from the internet, articles, or books…but from the chefs themselves. I think it’s pretty cool.
The chefs’ sous chefs are here to help!! & it’s awesome because there’s such chemistry btwn the chefs and sou chefs in general…so pleasant to see them work together in the kitchen! & boy, do I love Hubert Keller more and more!! I am def. going to try to stop at his restaurant if I ever stop by Las Vegas! lol.
1st course: This is going to be pretty hard to decide who’s the winner as everyone’s dishes seem to be soo good! I can only wish I were one of the judges! lol
2nd course: I just want to mention something about the judges – I like everyone pretty much except the guy that won last season! I don’t even remember his name – I thought Stefan shoulda won – I <3 Stefan hah. & the British critic – must he try to come up with a metaphor of some sort with every dish that he tastes? I swear they just needed someone British on the panel. lol
Michael’s polenta seems to be a big hit!
3rd course: All the food looks so goood!! :O( NOOOOO Some not so good comments regarding Chef Hubert’s dish! Chef Rick Bayless’ pork seems to have many fans from the table!
4th course: No desserts. Uh oh – there are hits and misses for all of the chefs. The table is not too happy with Chef Bayless’ plate. lol Again, Michael is a hit at the table! Aiiissssssssssh I don’t know who’s going to win. All three chefs made excellent dishes but there were also imperfections in the dishes.

Judges Panel:
Michael: His braised short rib was “perfection,” his fish dish was “controversial”
Hubert: His stew was “stunning…dense..rich..and lucious,” his lamb dish – nooooooooo..they don’t like the raw garlic and the vanilla sauce. Poor Hubert..he’s so surprised that the judges didn’t really like it lol
Rick: His seafood dish was “overcooked,” and his mole dish was “extraordinary” and “it worked totally”
The judges are now making up their minds. The three chefs are def. nervous.
VERDICT: Chef Bayless. Although he is my second choice to win………but O-M-G!!!!!!!!! I am so sad Hubert lost – AT LAST PLACE AT THAT. He received 16 1/2 stars, Michael received 17 stars, and Rick got 18 stars. Congratulations to Chef Bayless and his charity of choice!
